The Jewel of the Midwest
Part One
They don't call Chicago "The Second City" for nothing.  What do these uber famous French paintings and sculpture have in common?  They are all in the Art Institute of Chicago!  Not Paris!  Not New York! Not London!  Chicago!  Founded in 1879, it is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States!  It is Little Missy's new favourite place! Just for fun, I snapped the works of art from the Impressionists that I had no idea lived in this museum!  We are not even talking about all the other art and the Thorne Rooms, which require their own Little Missy missive!
And remember the words of Paul Simon, sung by Art Garfunkel and by Aretha Franklin:

When you're weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I'll dry them all
I'm on your side, oh, when times get rough
And friends just can't be found...

Oh boy,  beloved readers... strap yourself in, it's gonna be a bumpy ride.

 Hello Renoir!  Chicago!
Chicago, Chicago!
Hello Degas!  Chicago!
Not in Paris or New York!
 She's in the Windy City!
This one really surprised me!   It's in Chicago!
You can Can-Can with Toulouse Lautrec right here!
I took my daughter's picture on this bridge many years ago! And below we have Gauguin!
